From LukeIsBack.Com:
Bill Margold Interview
I ask him about the Tim Connelly meltdown.
Bill: "I'm not completely versed on it because it is so muddled with what you wrote, Mike South wrote. I don't want to say anything until the facts are brought out. I feel sorry for anyone with a drug problem. I lost Viper because of drugs. I have a big ache when it comes to drugs and I'm unable to deal with drugs.
"There's a lot of pressure to live up to that type of position, and some people need something to mollify that pressure.
"I'm blind to drug problems. Maybe I avoid them because I don't want to handle them. If any organization can deal with what Tim is going through it would be AIM. God knows that if anybody is going to be empathetic to a drug addict it would have to be Sharon Mitchell. If anyone knows what beats in the heat and soul of a drug addict, it would be Mitchell.
"The movie I did for James Avalon (Darkside) is having a screening Wednesday night. I'm excited to see what I did. It was not as much fun as I thought it would be. Trying to remember those lines that wouldn't make any sense between reading them, remembering them and getting them out my mouth.
"I don't know if you've been invited to the screening. You don't seem to be making the same kind of trouble you used to make. Maybe the problem we all have now is that apathy rules.
"The kid that I'm highest on now is Sunny Lane (appears in Darkside). There's a lot of fire there. She can be a contender if she's handled properly.
"James Avalon (as Kent Smith) is part of the original XRCO (along with Bill, Jim Holliday, Jim Dawson, Lonn Friend). We then named Jared Rutter as chairman. We needed a voice of sanity.
"PAW exists on a month-to-month basis. Thanks to that poker night, that keeps us open through the year. In January in Las Vegas, I'll put on a show and that will give us more money. Then I'll do a car wash."
How's your living situation?
"I survive with only one cat instead of two."
How's your health?
"I'm still here."
end.
